A flexible work arrangement is an agreement between a workplace and an employee to change the standard working arrangement to better accommodate an employee’s commitments out of work. Flexible working arrangements usually encompass changes to the hours, pattern, and location of work. Flexible working is not just for office workers. There are numerous examples of scheduled roles with access to flexibility. 

Study Assistance: Study assistance is a means by which Downer can support staff to attain formal qualifications that benefit their role and future roles. Downer's Australian Employee Assistance Program provided by Converge International.

EAP is a free confidential counselling and wellbeing service, provided by experienced health professionals, for Downer employees and their immediate family members.

The counselling has a short-term solution focused approach and in Australia Downer currently allows for unlimited presenting issues. There are other lifestyle wellbeing services also on offer for a preventative health focus.

Downer's Australian EAP is available 24 hours / 7 days / 365 days. Counselling sessions can be provided in-person, online, via telephone, or Live Chat on the EAP's Converge International app and their portal.
