CMS Instructions
This is Paragraph 1. This field must always be filled in with a lead in paragraph to introduce the page.
This is Paragraph 2. This field must always be filled in with a secondary paragraph. By having Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2 always containing content, helps create consistency throughout the Downer website.
This is the content field. This is where you will enter the remaining page content. There are a number of simple text styles you can achieve here. For example:
- Bullet lists
- Bullet lists
- Bullet lists
You can also use a numbered list:
- Numbered list
- Numbered list
- Numbered list
Pages with large amounts of content can be broken up using the Subheading styles. See below.
Subheading 1
Subheading 1 should always be used as the first subheading style. This is selected by using the Content field tools. Go to Formats > Headings > Select 'Subheading 1'.
If you need to break up content within this section under Subheading 1, please use the next subheading style.
Subheading 2
Subheading 2 should always be used as the second subheading style. This is selected by using the Content field tools. Go to Formats > Headings > Select 'Subheading 2'.
If you need to break up content within this section under Subheading 2, please use the next subheading style.
Subheading 3
Subheading 3 should always be used as the third subheading style. This is selected by using the Content field tools. Go to Formats > Headings > Select 'Subheading 2'.
If you need to break up content within this section under Subheading 2, please use the next subheading style.
For the rare occasion you may need to use a fourth heading style, or more commonly need some other text styling tools, you can bold text by selecting text and clicking on the Bold button, or italicise text by selecting the text and clicking on the Italics button.
You can also colour text by selecting the text and going to Formats > Text > and select your desired Downer brand colour - Primary Blue, Secondary Blue, Tertiary Blue, Primary Green, Secondary Green.
You could even bold and colour text for more emphasise - Primary Blue, Secondary Blue, Tertiary Blue, Primary Green, Secondary Green.
To add a hyperlink, select the text and then click on the link button. This will then bring up a pop up menu where you can select the URL path - this can either be a document link from the Asset manager, or type in an external link. The 'text to display' field will show the text acting as the hyperlink. You can then select whether this link should open in a new window/tab by selecting 'New window' from the 'Target' dropdown. This option is best practice when hyperlinking to documents or external webpages. If the link is within the Downer website, you can select 'None' from the 'Target' dropdown, which will keep you in the same window/tab.
Page blocks
You will see below a number of 'page blocks' which are additional sections you can add to a page. To add a page block, click on the 'Manage Page Block' button within the edit page CMS, which will take you to a window where you can add different types of page blocks. For more information, please refer to the Downer CMS Instruction document.
The page blocks shown below include:
- Page widgets - here you can show any relevant widgets - these can link to other pages in the Downer website, downloadable document, list relevant contacts or videos.
- Latest News - this section shows the latest Downer News articles.
- Job Opportunities - this section shows the latest Downer Job openings.
- Our Pillars - this section is a 'Tabs x4' page block. In creating these, you can include 4 headings with introductory text and images linking to other areas within the Downer website or to external links.
These are the most common types of page blocks used on general content pages.
