Reliance Rail Financial Restructuring

Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today that the New South Wales Government had reached an agreement with Reliance Rail, Downer, other Reliance Rail shareholders, financial guarantors and other parties to restructure the financing of Reliance Rail.

Downer Awarded $570 million Mining Contract

Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced it has been awarded a six year magnetite mining contract with Karara Mining Limited (KML) for the provision of services at the Karara Iron Ore Project in Western Australia.
