Mobile plant maintenance
Being Australia’s most diversified mining contractor means we operate and maintain one of Australia’s largest and most diversified mobile mining fleets – with some of the biggest equipment in the business, including ultra class Komatsu 930E trucks and Liebherr 9800 shovels.
To support the operation of this fleet in Australia and overseas, we have developed an ISO 9001-2008 quality-assured centralised plant management system and an extensive range of maintenance management systems and support tools. These allow us to deliver consistent, safe and effective equipment performance for both our and our clients’ fleets.
Integrated Management System (IMS)
The requirements for our plant management system are contained in our IMS – our primary tool for managing risk. The IMS acts as a centralised platform for our plant management policies, standards and procedures.
No matter where an employee is located, whether it’s Brisbane, the Pilbara or overseas, this system ensures that they have access to the most up-to-date and approved documentation.
Asset Management Tool (AMT)
To ensure optimal fleet reliability and performance, we use AMT, a full-featured, computerised maintenance management system with the ability to:
- Plan and schedule resources
- Track and manage equipment services
- Manage component change-out schedules – long-term and short-term plans
- Generate work orders
- Manage back logs
- Develop and maintain budgets – whole-of-life or remaining life of equipment
- Generate live forecasts
- Manage defects
- Use the condition-based maintenance process for interpreting condition-monitoring data
Report on plant key performance indicators, which enables timely identification of discrepancies and identifies their underlying cause
Otraco – Tyre & Rim Management
We are in the unique position of being able to offer our clients expert tyre management services through our wholly owned subsidiary Otraco International, and its subsidiaries Rimtec and Dust-A-Side Australia.
Operating at the forefront of its industry, Otraco has developed a wide range of information and analysis systems to extend tyre life, reduce equipment downtime, and minimise overall tyre and rim repair costs.
