A unique feature of our indigenous development methodology is a strong focus on mainstreaming people into “real jobs”. Underpinned by structured training and supported by line management, our indigenous recruits are part of the line structure from commencement. This supports the view that separating indigenous workers from the mainstream workforce disadvantages them in the long term. Managing diversity is a skill required by managers and supervisors, and we provide the necessary training and development to enable our leaders to achieve this.
